| Details: | The water system had collected its routine monthly coliform sample on Nov 6th. This sample result came back positive for total coliform bacteria. The system collected follow up samples and 1 of the follow up samples from Nov 11 was positive for total coliform. The system did not collect the triggered source sample, but this will be done with the December coliform sample. The system shuts down Well 3 this time of year (serves mainly irrigation). The well 3 transmission line had not been valved off before the sample was collected. The potential cause of the positive total coliform could have been from the stagnant water in the line. The system is back to taking (1) routine coliform sample in December and (1) triggered source sample from the south well (well 2). Further action may be needed based on the results. |
