| Details: | I spoke with Glenn Cloyd at Northwest Hazelnut on 11/12/2024 about the nitrate test result that was greater than 50% of the maximum contaminant level. Northwest Hazelnut has assigned operational responsibility to third party company Always Pure Water Systems. I was able to speak with Michael Klobes of Always Pure, who was aware of the test results. He mentioned that IOC tests were performed the same day and had a significantly different result (1.93ppm v 6.76ppm). The lower result from the IOC test does not exceed 50% of the MCL. Michael is following up with the lab to see if they can identify a reason that the results might differ so greatly. I sent an email to Always Pure with information about health effects of nitrate in water and links to public notice for use in a situation where results exceed MCL. |
