| Details: | Bill called me because he received a postcard notifying him about recent HAA5 results that exceeded the MCL. I explained that no action is required at this time, in part because the water system is already assigned quarterly monitoring for disinfection byproducts and purchases water from Astoria (thus doesn't control the treatment process). I also explained the only action required with certainty will be a description of the sample results in next year's consumer confidence report. I did describe a few possible treatment options if members at the water district wanted to be proactive in controlling the quality of water coming from Astoria but I made clear it wasn't required at this time and would likely never be required. We ended the conversation with an affirmation from me that nothing additional is required from the District at the current time. | ||
