| Details: | 12.12.2024-The operator reached out to DWS inquiring about the need for plan review for a distribution project. The project is to replace approximately 500 feet of a 4-inch PVC water main with a 6-inch C900 pipe. While upsizing a pipe typically triggers a plan review, replacing a pipe of the same size in a similar location might not. However, PR engineers will assess the need for a plan review based on whether or not the water line crosses any sorts of hazards (sewer lines, etc). If there are no conflicts, the plan reviewer may waive the review requirement. Next steps: The operator was advised to submit an email to plan review, detailing the project and specifying whether or not the line will cross any potential hazards. |
