| Details: | I contacted Ms. Oates regarding the recent repeat positive total coliform results. I informed her that all repeat samples had shown positive indicating groundwater contamination based on my knowledge of the repeat samples taken (there was no specified triggered/well sample reported in spite of specific instructions to do so by me). This system is currently monthly for coliform so I informed her there was no need to take additional routines in January 2025.I also informed her a level 1 investigation was required for this system, which I will be emailing to her also. In addition, I informed her the best practice would be to shock the well and distribution and provided a protocol for this. Also informed her a special sample should be taken about 2 weeks after shock to assess continued contamination potential. |
