Details:
12.17.2024
The operator provided an updated water system schematic and photo documentation of the physical separation between the RV Park and the MHP. No further actions needed at this time.

12.12.2024
Sleepy Hollow RV Park reclassified from a Community PWS to an OVS PWS.
Chemical and microbiological sampling requirement for the RV Park system:
- One yearly nitrate sample is required: The 2024 nitrate sample is due December 31, 2024.
- Monthly coliform sampling.

The operator is instructed to notify DWS whenever the RV park population drops to less than 10 people. At that point the system can be inactivated.

12.07.2024
The operator has informed me that the water system project for Sleepy Hollow RV and Mobile Home Park has been completed. The mobile home park will now utilize a new well as its primary water source, serving 7 homes and 11 residents. The RV Park will continue to rely on a surface water source, providing water to 12 connections and 14 individuals. As the RV park is scheduled to close in February 2024, the number of people served by the water system will continue to decline.

Next steps:
Due to the division of the park into two smaller water systems, each serving a population below the threshold classification for Community systems, both systems will be reclassified as Oregon Very Small Water (OVS) Systems.

The operator was advised to submit an updated system schematic for both systems and photo documentation of the physical separation between the two water systems (the RV park and the MHP).

I clarified to the operator that Oregon's Very Small Water Systems (OVSs) are not required to submit monthly surface water reports. However, some older systems may still collect this data. If a specific OVS system experiences issues, regulations allow for mandatory reporting as needed.
