| Details: | Result of a level 1 investigation; We chlorinated the system via the tank on Monday 12/16 and got our lab results back shortly after, the system is currently clean of coli's but we are keeping the school on bottled water until further notice. When the water storage tank was opened to conduct the chlorination we discovered a several inch length of rebar had been punched through the top of the tank during a parking space repaving project that had happened this past summer. We are currently conducting an investigation as to how this happened and working towards a solution with the contractors that did the work. We might be able to have the tank patched or replaced by the end of the year, depending on the speed at which work can happen over the holiday. I will be sure to keep you informed as we move forward. |
