Details: | Chris and I have had several conversations. He is very proactive at reaching out about the sample results and ensuring the results have been submitted to OHA. In Sept 2024, the water system collected its standard round of lead and copper samples. Once of the buildings had a very high lead result (58ppb). A follow up sample was collected on 9/26/24 to see if it was a result was accurate. The follow up sample tested at 16ppb (current action level being 15ppb). At the end of October, the system was sent an auto generated letter outlining the corrective action steps required of the system. The system collected its 2 rounds of water quality parameters from both the distribution system and entry points on 11/12 and 11/25. The public education was distributed on 12/11/24. The system collected the entry point lead and copper samples on 11/12/24. No lead or copper detections were seen in the entry point sample data. The system had replaced the faucet in the firehouse sink (bldg 5020) and collected a sample on 11/26/24. The sample result came back at 70ppb. The building in question is a very old (historic) building located on the military depot grounds. The system is in consultation on how best to handle the lead detections. Updated information will be posted when available. |
