| Details: | On January 14, 2025, Brandon Ford let me know that a leak had been found the day before and was repaired. Their public alert provider's business shut down some time in the last couple weeks without any notice so they called the Polk and Yamhill emergency numbers and unfortunately neither had the ability to send the alerts for them in the areas that they needed to send them. As a quick solution they set up a Facebook page and started calling customers to get the alert to the affected customers. Once the leak was fixed, the system repressurized, and the water cycled from the nearest blow-off valve until proper CL residual was being provided, they collected a sample which was absent of coliform bacteria as notified by the lab on 1/17/25. On January 15, 2025, I sent boil notice templates and door hanger example, a "problem corrected" template, best management practices for waterline repairs, and other related information for future reference. Update - January 17, 2025: The leak was discovered and repaired on 1-13-25, coliform sample results were absent of bacteria, and the boil notice was lifted 1-17-25. |
