Details: | 12/4/24: The operator called to inform me that the contractor who maintained their water system has passed away and that they will be getting an assistant to help with the compliance deadlines, and sampling requirements. + 2/14/25: I emailed the operator notifying them of the late bacteria, arsenic, and nitrate samples. I attached their 2024 survey letter and the conditional approval letter for their arsenic treatment system so they can address the two outstanding deficiencies. I attached the OnM, ERP, and CSP the late operator had sent me last year. The operator said that they were unaware that the newly hired contractor had not been submitting samples. A conference call will be arranged so that the owner, and the operator can provide a corrective action plan. ++ 3/5: I contacted the operator to schedule a conference call with the owner to detail the outstanding violations (late nitrate and arsenic sample) and establish a corrective action plan for receiving final approval for the arsenic treatment system. I informed them that they are close to becoming a PNC once again. +++ 3/7: The operator told me that a resident is taking the free chlorine residuals everyday and they will collecting the late chemical samples within the next week. ++++ 3/14: I had a conference call with the owner and operator. The owner called the contractor to understand the installation schedule. +++++ 3/20: I spoke with the contractor, Beebe’s Water Systems (BWS), who will be installing the storage tanks and arsenic treatment system. They have a different contractor scheduled to remove the currently existing storage tank within 2-4 weeks. BWS will install smaller storage tanks than originally intended so that they won’t need to increase the height of the pump room which will expedite installation. Once the existing storage tank is removed, he says that the installation will be complete within 3-4 days. |
