Details: MAILED A LETTER TO THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR THAT INCLUDES THE VOLLOWING WORDING:

The water system for City of Island City has been cited with a series of violations by the State of Oregon Drinking Water Program. The violations are as follow:
1. Violation 903404646 for not providing an annual 2024 Nitrate sample from the McAlister Rd well
2. Violation 903404645 for not providing an annual 2024 Nitrate sample from the Walton Rd well
3. Violation 903404643 for not providing a copy of the 2023 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) by the July 1, 2024 due date
4. Violation 903404644 for not providing the certification form for the 2023 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) by the October 1, 2024 due date
5. Violation 903404641 for not providing a copy of the 2022 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) by the July 1, 2023 due date
6. Violation 903404642 for not providing the certification form for the 2022 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) by the October 1, 2023 due date

How to return-to-compliance (RTC) these violations:
• Nitrate:
Provide 2025 Nitrate samples from both the McAlister Rd well and the Walton Rd well will Returned-To-Compliance this violation. Please submit these samples as soon as reasonably possible.
• CCR:
Once the Consumer Confidence Report and certification forms are received the violation will return to compliance. For additional CCR information and to locate an electronic copy of the CCR Certification form, refer to the following webpage:

Because of these violations, you must provide a tier 3 public notice to the people this water system serves. I have enclosed a template copy of the tier 3 public notice. Please follow the instructions on the template.
