| Details: | The operator has installed a new sample tap, and the old one is no longer in use. However, it is unclear whether the old sample tap was completely removed. It may still be present but is no longer in use. The new sample tap has been installed outside the wellhouse, equipped with a mesh screen to prevent contamination. The operator has taken the following actions: 1. Inspected the groundwater source (wellhead or spring collector) and surrounding area for potential pathways of fecal contamination and addressed any significant deficiencies. 2. Identified and eliminated the cause of fecal contamination by documenting the contaminant type, its proximity to the groundwater source, and the process used for removal. Action: The water system operator is to submit any documentation regarding the actions taken to address the E. coli results from 2023. |
