Details: | Called Bryan regarding the Lead MCL result from the last round of L&C sampling. Bryan had previously contacted Lane DW when the test results were first received by the system on 3/4/25. Since that time, the operator has worked to figure out what may have caused the high Lead results. The operator suspected that the results could be due to a sampling error, which may have been caused by newly installed automatic sinks. The automatic sinks do not stay on or flush the way that a conventional sink can. The operator confirmed they are calibrating their P.H. meter when taking L&C related tests. I told the operator that the system must continue to perform 6 month rounds of L&C sampling until they get two rounds of sampling with no results above the MCL/Action level. After that, the system may qualify for a sampling frequency reduction. Given that only two of the samples exceeded the action level, and that they did not previously have issues after CC treatment was installed, no additional action is required by the operator at this time. Update 3/25/2025: I sent Bryan an email notifying him that he must post Public Education regarding Lead results over the MCL, and that he must also post a Tier 1 Public Notice. Instructions and a template for the Public Notice were included in the email. |
