| Details: | I communicated with the lead BWS contractor and he said that they are awaiting the arrival of the new storage tanks. At that time, he will be able to schedule a separate contractor to remove the existing tank. He said he will notify me of the water outage and start up when it happens. He explained how the waste by-products of arsenic treatment will be disposed of. They will recover the exhausted vessels and replace them with new vessels loaded with the same FerrIX media. A TCLIP analysis is then performed on the media to determine if it requires incineration or can be landfilled. If the media is below all thresholds, it will be landfilled; if any element exceeds toxicity levels, the media will be incinerated and a destruction certificate provided. | ||
