| Details: | Phone call with Susan regarding water system on informal compliance schedule and boil water advisory. The Association comprises of 6 members with 8 tax lots who have rights to surface water system. In total, there are 10 tax lots that appear to be hooked up to surface water system. Of these 10 tax lots, 5 have domestic wells and according to Susan at least one neighbor in sec. 27, lot 700 may be interested in drilling a well. She also made it clear that she doesn't speak on behalf of the other residents but is willing to provide info. She said the residents are not wanting to chlorinate the water and believes that they would not be able to find someone to run SW treatment equipment. I have reached out to USDA to explore funding options (low interest loans) for domestic wells. UPDATE 5/21/25: Phone call with Susan to pass along information about the Water Well Trust program and if any neighbors who are interested in drilling a well might be eligible. She stated there may be 2 other neighbors who might be using the surface water system illegally and want them to be included and responsible as well for any enforcement on the PWS moving forward. Susan is also interested in the possibility of disconnecting from the system since she has a well now, so that she is not responsible for the OVS. She reiterated that none of the neighbors would be interested in setting up surface water treatment. |
