| Details: | Verna had collected her quarterly sample on 3/26/25. It tested positive for total coliform bacteria. I asked about the chlorination system and it was stated that it is working but no residual was being detected. It was also mentioned that the well was flooded during a flooding event that has happened in the past few weeks. I recommended that the well be chlorinated and the chlorinator be checked to make sure it is working and she can get a good residual in the distribution system. Three repeat samples and 1 triggered source sample are to be turned in on 4/2 then 3 more temp routines by the end of the month are needed. Follow up sample results from 4/2/25 Three repeat samples and a triggered source sample were collected on 4/2. Two of the repeat samples and the triggered source were positive for total coliform. The system had contacted a treatment vendor but the vendor was not able to visit the system prior to the samples being collected. So, it is no surprise that the samples were positive. A level 1 investigation was triggered, and the form was mailed to the owner to fill out. Three routine samples are due to be collected in April. Further action may be required based on the results. |
