| Details: | I notified the operator over the phone that one of their last monthly routine samples tested positive for Total Coliform. The TC+ was in the same location as the ALERT from 3/17. I instructed the operator to take a triggered sample, three repeat samples, and continue with the temporary monthly coliform testing. The operator had mentioned they would attempt again to figure out why the TC+ had occurred by inspecting the plumbing and corrective maintenance later on. The operator mentioned they were considering installing disinfection; I recommended they contact the plan-review department if they want to follow-through with installing disinfection at any point. The system is NOT required to install disinfection, but if the operator wants to do that they must get the system modifications approved through plan-review. |
