| Details: | The system had an alert for 26.1 ppm of sodium. Reviewed the technician bulletin on sodium, it says that corrosion control treatments generally add sodium to water at rates between 1 – 40 ppm, and these additions are small compared to the amounts of sodium already present in most waters. It also said that water softening system usually add substantial quantities of sodium to the water (about 150 to 300 ppm). Also Drinking Water Services recommends that sodium in drinking water be maintained lower than 250 ppm. Given that information the system is in a good range at 26.1 and provided Keoni this information. |
