| Details: | RT sample collected on May 9, 2025, tested positive for total coliforms. 05.21.2025 -The RP sample collected at the hose spigot tested positive for TC. The other two RP samples tested TC negative. The hose spigot is the original site that tested TC+ on May 8, 2025. The operator emailed me clarifying that upon speaking with Amber, she confirmed she collected the nitrate sample from the untreated water spigot in the garden. She was unaware the sample should have been taken from the treated water source, specifically between the holding tank and before the first point of consumption. Next steps: The RT sample collected at the garden hose spigot on May 8 meets the invalidation criteria. A request has been made for DMCE to invalidate this sample. I instructed the operator to collect a new sample early the week of May 26th from one of the sites listed on their coliform sampling plan. The operator has also been advised to collect a nitrate sample for 2025. The nitrate sample has to be collected at the Entry Point to the distribution system, specifically, between the holding tank and before the first point of consumption. 05.12.2025 -The operator was contacted via phone but was unable to reach the operator. A voice message was left, and a follow up email was sent to the operator, with instructions to collect 3 repeat samples. The operator was also instructed not to take corrective actions prior to collecting the repeat samples. |
