| Details: | On 5-12-25 an alert was generated for a nitrate result of 9.38 mg/l from sampling completed 5-6-25 at the entry point for the wells (EP-A). The system blends sources to reduce high nitrate levels in the MC Well #1 source (SRC-AA) and has a history of seasonal variations in nitrate (documented in numerous contact reports in the past), but has remained consistently below the MCL of 10 mg/l. On 5-19-25 I received an email from Matt Johnson to let me know that their latest nitrate sample result was 9.38 mg/L. Matt said that they had turned on all blending sources to keep the nitrate levels down as low as possible. They will continue to monitor the levels in-house 3x per week and if they see any high in-house readings, they will send in a sample to the lab to verify. No further action required (other than to continue blending to reduce nitrates). System has been reliably and consistently below the 10 mg/l MCL based on quarterly nitrate sampling since 2005. | ||
