| Details: | I spoke with Jesse on the phone regarding chlorine residual levels over 4 ppm that have been reported on several routine coliform samples. He was unaware of the high residuals and said a lab tech collects the samples. They also provide bottled water for employees as the well water is not consumed and is mainly used for restroom purposes. He confirmed there is no inertie or cross-connection with any other chlorinated water source used onsite. I let him know that 4 ppm is the max allowable for chlorine and violations will be issued in the near future. He is going to inspect/adjust the chlorine system as needed to insure the level stays below 4 ppm. I recommended providing between 0.5 and 0.8 ppm. I also reminded him that distribution chlorine residuals are required to be tested and logged an least twice per week. He said that is currently being done. | ||
