| Details: | PFAS sampling conducted as part of the fifth round of the Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR5) showed PFOS at 4.3 ppt from Well 6A TP on entry point I (EP-I) for a sample collected on 12/11/24. The PFOS result exceeds EPA's new PFOS MCL of 4.0 pp, however compliance will be based on a running annual average (RAA). If compliance monitoring beginning April 2027 shows the RAA exceeds the MCL, the system will need to take corrective action to comply with the MCL by 2029. A letter was mailed and emailed to the water system on 1/27/25 which included information on how the results compare to the new MCLs, requirements to notify customers of availability of results and report detections in the annual consumer confidence report, and information on Emerging Contaminant funding available to address PFAS. | ||
