Details: | 2021 Survey Update 07.29.2025- Survey deficiencies corrected. - No means to determine disinfection contact time under peak flow: Improvements made to the system approved under PR 2025-8. Improvement included a flow meter on the effluent side of the clearwell. Also, a tracer study was conducted on July 15. The actual chlorine contact time was determined to be 109 minutes at a peak flow of 6.5 gpm. A new tracer study is needed if the peak flow exceeds 7.1 gpm. - Membrane DIT requirements and operation: Improvements made to the system approved under PR 2025-8. The membrane filter is now used only as a pre-filter. The DIT requirements are no longer relevant since this is not the system's LT 2 rule compliant filter. The system now has a Harmsco HC/90-LT2 cartridge filter with a Hurricane MUNI 90 MP housing as their LT2 rule compliant filter. This cartridge filter will grant the water system 2.5-log removal credit for Giardia and a 2.0-log removal credit for cryptosporidium. The allowable flow rate to meet this log removal credit is no more than 65 gpm. The cartridge filter replacement needs to occur if the pressure differential reaches 30 psi. 06.23.2025 - 541 Water Inc provided an update. Steve Reber with Civil West scheduled to conduct the approved tracer study on July 15th, which will address the CT deficiency. The other items related to membrane filtration performance have been remediated. The system installed a cartridge LT2 compliant filter. The operator is awaiting final approval. The request for final approval was sent to HBH Engineering. Next steps: Pending DWS final PR approval. |
