Assistance Type: | OTHER REGULATORY - Loss of Pressure from main reservoir | ||
Details: | Spoke with the City Manager regarding ongoing response efforts and compliance considerations for the community water system. It was reported that overnight drawdowns impacted pressure in some Upper Maupin residences, particularly those at elevations near or below the level of the upper reservoir. Water service disruptions occurred overnight when the tanker trucks were unable to maintain consistent system pressure. The City was able to connect its pump to the tanker setup, allowing more consistent refilling by drawing water directly from the lower well. They restored pressure earlier today and collected water samples, which have been submitted to the lab. The City is also actively working with engineers and contractors on long-term solutions for replacing the failed upper reservoir and improving distribution reliability. A change in DRC was also confirmed. I provided the DRC designation form and explained the process for completing it. I shared information about ORWARN. The City has since enrolled and is beginning to explore available mutual aid resources and technical support. |
