| Details: | Ann called to inform me that all repeat distribution samples were TC +. The triggered source sample was absent for bacteria. They believe it may be caused by a recent repair of an old water riser connection that was leaking. The repair did not require a loss of pressure to the system. They submitted a special sample from the downstream side of the reservoir that was absent for bacteria. The positive samples came for the upstream side of the reservoir. They intend to shock chlorinate the system. The system had confirmed e-coli in the distribution system in March. A level 2 investigation was conducted. The operators found the buried leaky water riser fitting and reported during the investigation. The the fitting was capped in March to stop the leak. The aforementioned repair was a removal of the riser connection as it is not needed. |
