| Details: | Spoke with the operator and followed up by email regarding: 1. Post-fire nitrate and coliform sampling needs.. 2. VOC sample results, which were reviewed and summarized as follows: • A few TTHM detections, but no exceedances of the MCL or HAL • The compound, cyclohexyl methyl phthalic acid, was identified by the chemist on sample 2, and is qualified as a TIC. A TIC, or tentatively identified compound, refers to a substance detected in an analysis for which a definitive identification has not been confirmed. In this case, while the data suggest the presence of a compound containing a phthalate group, the identification remains uncertain, and the confidence in the exact compound match is limited. This is not regulated and there is no associated MCL or HAL. OHA recommended resampling at Sample Site 2 and a mainline sample location to better assess. 3. It was also advised that if any fire-damaged service connections are being reactivated, they should be sampled prior to being returned to service. |
