Details: | An email correspondence was sent to the operator regarding Tooley’s post-fire VOC resample testing. We encourage that the report be shared with for transparency. Summary of Results: No regulated VOC MCL or HAL exceedances. Two non-regulatory compounds, Acetone and 2-Butanone (MEK), were detected in samples and trip blanks. The non-regulatory HALs for 2-Butanone (MEK) are: 1-day HAL 75 ppm, 10-day HAL 7.5 ppm, and Lifetime HAL 4 ppm. None of these levels were exceeded. Acetone was found in the field blank, method blank, and calibration blank, so the result is considered unreliable. (Note: there is not a HAL for acetone.) The work order narrative noted a potential sample collection discrepancy and temperature excursion: during sample drop off sampler stated that the 125 ml amber did not fill all voas during sample collections, all sample bottles (voas and amber bottle) were received full and at 7.5° C. |
