| Details: | Matthew called the after-hours number to inform us that a contractor had removed a section of public waterline as anticipated, but planned to keep the town in service by hooking up a fire hose. It was to be a new fire hose, two lines at 350 yards, to be used for 5 weeks or more until the waterline could be moved. After considering risks and discussing options, Matthew decided to use HDPE pipe he had available. He was shock chlorinating the pipe and would flush it before putting it into service. Since no services or mainlines lost pressure, waiting for a coliform sample result was not necessary. | ||
