| Details: | I spoke with the operator concerning the recent arsenic exceedance (0.0179 mg/l). They've investigated the treatment failure. They found wet, black deposits inside one of the storage tanks that could have been absorbing any residual arsenic in the finished water. They've had the storage tank physically cleaned. While the cleaning took place, they used temporary storage tanks that were filled with hauled water. They will be taking a special arsenic sample to measure the effectiveness of their corrective action. The arsenic-removing resin may be replaced if arsenic test results continue to be over the MCL. | ||
