| Details: | Called to inform, the water system about a positive coliform sample from the 53447 HWY 31 TECH HOUSE SINK location, which was found to be positive last month. The water system indicated that they had already collected their repeat and assessment samples. They system indicated they followed all the protocols for collecting according to sample recommendations. Also, discussed possible causes such as backflow from a hose and sprinkler connected to an outside spigot without backflow prevention and the possibility of an unknown broken line. The water system was going to install backflow prevention and possibly shock chlorinate depending on the sample results. The repeat sample tested positive at another location so I called and left a message recommending that the system shock chlorinate and flush the system. 3 temporary samples needed next month. System shock chlorinated, flushed, installed vacuum breakers on outside hose bibs and flushed the system. October, November and December samples are absent for coliform. |
