| Details: | The school has been having on going issues with iron bacteria build up in SRC-AB. They have worked the circuit rider program and a contractor to remediate the issue. The well had been shut off. The school was having water delivered. The operator believes that after the well was turned back on, the distribution line between the well and storage was not adequately flushed causing the positive routine sample. I was notified of TC+ result by the operator on 9/10/25. There has been a delay in the lab reports. The routine test result did not post 9/12/25. The lab verified that the water quality reports were sent to the state on Friday 9/12. The routine sample alert has been posted. Repeat and triggered source samples have been taken, The source was clean but the repeat distribution sample is positive. The entire system was to be shock chlorinated over the weekend. I allowed the operator to borrow my HACH FAC test kit to confirm 0 ppm residual before submitting a special sample to verify the system is free of bacteria. Once the repeat TC+ test results gets posted it will generate a Level 1 investigation. The operator is aware and I've provided them with the template. |
