| Details: | The test results from the repeat samples have been delayed in posting since September 11 due to a new EPA reporting system. Absent the official results/alert which actually posted on 9/17, I instructed the water system to move forward with remediation. The system was shock chlorinated on Friday 9/12. The system has been flushed. The operator is monitoring chlorine residual and will submit a special sample on 9/17 or 9/18 when chlorine reading is 0 ppm. The system has had ongoing issues with iron bacteria build up in the well since mid June. SRC-AB had the pump removed and the interior casing treated by a contractor. They also worked with the circuit rider program. The operator feels that the TC+ result are due to not having the distribution line from SRC-AB to the storage tanks flushed to daylight. Currently SRC-AA is offline due to a pump issue. The school plans to have a new pump in the SRC-AA as budgets allow. I will request that SRC-AA be listed as inactive emergency until it is repaired and online. The operator has already completed the required Level 1 investigation form. It is under review. |
