| Details: | I was unable to contact Scott by phone so I emailed him the E. coli letter from OHA. I asked him to contact me and if any work has been done on the well or if he has any idea where the the contamination may be coming from. I mentioned the requirement to take 5 confirmation samples from the well asap. Will try and follow up with him again via phone. 4/4 I spoke with Scott on the phone. He said the recent samples were collected by someone who doesn't usually collect them and he thinks the contamination may have occurred during collection. He is going to collect the 5 confirmation samples today. He said the results may not be available until Monday. His plan is to take well B offline (and use the other well) as a precautionary measure until the issue is resolved. Update 4/9/19. I spoke with Mark and he said all 5 well samples were good. He suspects the contamination occurred during collection. He asked if he needed to do anything more. I checked SDWIS and did not see any extra coliform schedules so he is back to routine quarterly monitoring. |
