| Details: | By request of Oregon Water Services and the Property Management, I attended a meeting on-site to discuss the Lead Exceedance Letter and to answer questions from residents. During the meeting, I distributed educational materials to residents and told them how they could mitigate lead issues in their water supply. I also explained what steps were being taken by the operator (OWS), myself, and the State Drinking Water program to help prevent future lead exceedances. The residents expressed concerns that there could be sections of older plumbing in the distribution system that contain lead, and that many of the houses not yet tested could have lead contamination issues. The operator stated that during all maintenance they had performed since 2017, they had only observed PVC plumbing used in the distribution system. The service line inventory submitted by this system indicates that the distribution system is PVC. I left my contact information with the residents so that I could answer additional questions as needed. |
