| Details: | The electrical utility will be making upgrades in the vicinity of the water plant, including replacing transformers. Power will be shut off to the plant for 8-10 hours at a time on multiple days. Brookings will top off their reservoirs in preparation each time. Michael asked how this scenario would affect their disinfection monitoring requirements. Because the plant will be taken offline entirely during this period (no water leaving the plant to distribution), they can indicate on their treatment report "plant off" if the plant did not run all day. On the days when the plant is in operation, even if just part of a day, they would need to report the minimum chlorine value at the approved monitoring location as usual. | ||
