| Details: | Went and attempted a level 2 coliform investigation on August 22nd, 2025. The owner/operator was not on site, and the maintenance crew did not have any knowledge of the water system nor did they have access to the well. Went back on September 4th, 2025 with the food health inspector. Operator was still running the restaurant and using the water that tested positive for e coli. We asked the owner to voluntarily shut down, which she did. We asked her if she had taken the 3 repeat samples and the triggered source sample. Robyn told us that she took a sample to the lab within the last week. We called the lab, and the results for her distribution sample was positive for e coli. We notified her that she needs to post a public notice for the potential users of the system, and take 3 repeat samples and a triggered source sample, making sure the lab knows what they are for and reports them. I went back the next day to inspect the well and distribution. The well house is in disrepair with a cracked concrete pad, exposure from the outside and unsanitary conditions. The vent was missing and the threaded hole was open to the environment. The sample location in the men's room is corroded and unable to be cleaned thoroughly, making it an unsuitable sampling location. I again told them that they need to take a source sample, so we can move forward with the next steps. |
