| Details: | Regulator received a series of calls about the water having strong smell of chlorine. Regulator contacted DRC and he stated he added chlorine to the water tanks on Friday 10/17 and has been flushing the fire hydrants and water tanks since. DRC stated 12 gallons of 12.5% Sodium Hypochlorite were added to each of the 750,000 gallon and 528,000 water storage tanks. Regulator provided DRC with a chlorine test kit, and recommended he verify and document concentrations throughout the distribution 10/20: DRC measured chlorine at hydrant near Walton Road tank. Pre-flush concentration was measured at 2 ppm and post flush at 0.5 ppm 10/23: DRC measured chlorine at hydrant near McAlister Road tank. Pre-flush concentration was measured at 2 ppm and post flush at less than 0.5 ppm 10/23: Regulator was returned the chlorine test kit |
