| Details: | Steve Albin called Polk County Environmental Health to warn about an incoming TC+ result on a routine sample. Steve thinks this may be due to a sampling error rather than true contamination, but wanted to know next steps. Discussed with Steve proper sampling procedures and provided informational document. Told operator that one triggered sample and three repeat samples (one within 5 connections upstream, one within 5 connections downstream, and the positive sample location) will need to be taken as soon as possible and submitted. Steve will call and update with results. 12/12/25: Triggered sample came back positive for total coliform. Water system is on chlorination - no further action needed. |
