| Details: | First of 2-6 month lead and coppers showed elevated lead in 3 of 7 samples. System has a new well and recently re-categorized as a community system. Spoke with Manager Darla and discovered that all 3 elevated results came from samples collected at hose bibs at spaces that are unoccupied. There are 21 open spaces at the park and she collected from several of these sites because she was having trouble finding renters willing to sample. She took 7 samples total and needs 3 more. I suggested she take 3 replacement samples from RVs that are currently occupied so if DWS can reject the 3 high results they will have replacement results. I sent letter from Compliance and template for tier 1 PN for lead exceedances if needed. Discussed with DWS staff and will refer system to circuit riders OAWU and Civil West. System needs to conduct lead service line inventory which may help locate source of lead. Discussion with DWS and if high results from empty spaces can be rejected will dictate further action. | ||
