| Details: | I called Tim Jannsen (cell: 503-849-4124) with North Clackamas County Water Commission (00580) to get an update on flood conditions and discuss some flood mapping and he said waters are receding and they didn’t get as high as the 1996 floods. The plant is built with flooding in mind with extra steel to ensure the partially buried filters do not get floated up out of the ground. They had an operator stay at the plant last night to keep an eye on things as well. The 2 MW generator on site is part of PGE’s DSG Program (Dispatchable Standby Generator) – it kicked on last night to supplement PGE’s grid. I emailed Tim (tjannsen@sunrisewater.com) the flood maps, which show the treatment plant site located partially in the 100-yr flood zone and partially in the 500-yr flood zone and asked him to let us know if flood conditions worsen. |
