| Details: | Boil water PN follow up: I just spoke with Eric Chamberlain (operator) and he will take 5 confirmation samples from the well asap which is probably Friday 12/26. The Triggered sample taken 12/17 was NOT a source sample although labeled as such. We discussed this last week. He was unable to get the well to cycle on and took it from the first sampling point which was post reservoir in the pump station. We discussed this is why proper sample labeling is very important. Nonetheless, he will take 5 confirmation samples from the well and hopefully all are absent. In the meantime, the boil water is still in effect, and he took a follow up distribution sample today and will have results tomorrow. He also inspected the reservoir and did not find any obvious contamination inside and fixed the gap in the concrete riser. He suspects it was rain washing debris or contaminants into the reservoir. He chlorinated and ensured 0 chlorine residual today before sampling. I will conduct a level 2 investigation asap. If follow up sample absent, system can lift boil PN but still needs 5 confirmation samples from well. |
