Details: Opportunity to remain on quarterly sampling

01.13.2026 - I emailed the operator informing him that the Sea Crest water system just received a violation for not reporting their quarterly coliform sample. This is the 2nd quarterly violation in the last year.

Required Next Steps:
To remain on a quarterly schedule, the system must complete the following:

Sample 1: Collect a coliform sample this month and report the results by the 10th of next month.
Sample 2: Collect a second sample later this quarter (ensuring it is taken at least one week after the first sample).

Failure to complete both of these steps will result in the system being moved from a quarterly sampling to a monthly sampling schedule. I really hope we can avoid this.

Additionally, the operator was reminded that the system has to collect a yearly nitrate sample.

The operator later informed me that he did collect a sample on 11.11.2025. He provided a copy of the lab report form via email as evidence that the sample was collected. He later contacted the MacCowan lab. The lab confirmed that they failed to report the sample to the State. MacCowan will submit a copy of the lab results to the State.

The operator was advised to follow the steps to remain on quarterly sampling. Collect a sample in January (reported by 2.10.2026) and a second sample sometime in the quarter at minimum 7 days after the first letter.

No further actions needed at this time.
