Details: | Wildwood Estates RV Park operates a treatment facility for groundwater serving 40 connections at their RV park 6.5 north of the city of North Bend OR. Their treatment consists of pH adjustment using soda ash and disinfection with chlorine. They are currently having issues with sediment, pH, and frequent instances of clogged lines and periodic maintenance issues. The presence of significant sediment has been a reoccurring issue during dry months but worsened in the opinion of their operator since the installation of a replacement well pump in the past year. The assessment is that the sediment could be the cause of many of their maintenance issues and is the initial recommendation of Civil West is that Wildwood Estates could explore prefiltration for sediment removal prior to soda ash and chlorine treatment. One option for prefiltration would be to install a centrifugal sand separator with auto-purge per manufactures specifications meeting their system parameters. 1. 10-24-18 Jared Sylvester of Civil West met on site with Wildwood operator Steve Moldt for a site visit and assessment. 2. Discussed current system issues and provided options for sediment removal via phone call and email with Steve. |
