| Details: | DWS received one water quality complaint from a local business owner, and another that was forwarded from Marion county dept of health. Both complaints were regarding orange water with sediment coming out of a tap from a local business. I called Detroit's water system, and the City Recorder informed me the local business who complained is a food truck (Korner Burgers & More) that is connected to the H&B Mini Market's water connection. Water technicians were sent to collect samples and assess the connection at the mini market and samples were satisfactory and they didn't see issues with the connection, water was visibly clear and no large sediment was found. City staff also let me know they have involved the Marion County Sheriff's office and the food truck owner is not allowed into City Hall and can only communicate with the City through email. I followed up with the local food business owner via email and also the person who called marion county dept of health and let them know of the situation. |
