| Details: | Follow-up sampling was conducted to assess water quality post a operational event on January 12th that resulted in elevated turbidity (see contact report here for event details: https://yourwater.oregon.gov/cr-detail.php?crisn=24314). Sampling of finished water effluent conducted on January 13th was coliform absent with turbidity reading of 0.03 NTU and chlorine residual of 1.30 mg/L. Samples collected in the broader JWC-Purchaser System distribution on January 13th and 17th were found absent of coliform, turbidity ranged from 0.10-0.28 NTU, and chlorine residuals ranged from 0.63 to 1.17 mg/L. Additionally, water samples were taken throughout the week from the wholesale and partner distribution systems tested negative for coliform. In response to this event, the system is updating internal protocols to include use of the DWS emergency after-hours phone number, clarifying procedures for under-certified operator coverage, and noting estimated hydraulic flow information for the JWC-Purchaser System distribution to support response efforts in future events.
