Details: | Based on the water quality parameter readings (alkalinity & pH) collected during the March 2019 round of lead and copper monitoring, the minimum treated water alkalinity level was set at 16 mg/L for both the entry point and distribution. (A minimum alkalinity level is set because their corrosion control treatment method is soda ash, which affects alkalinity.) DRC Ray Doan and I exchanged emails about this, and DMCE generated a set of WQP monitoring forms with their minima for both pH and alkalinity already filled in. From now on, their lead and copper monitoring period will be between February and May to represent the conditions when on their most corrosive source, the Rink Creek Reservoir. Their two surface water sources are used in separate seasons, never at the same time. The next lead and copper round should be collected within those months (Feb-May) three years from now, in 2022. |
