| Details: | The WD board received 2 bids to install their SW treatment, which includes building 2 small slow sand filters. The board will choose a bidder at their May 6 meeting. Timeline: They hope the contractor will become available within a month after that; installation would probably be about 2 weeks; then the slow sand needs to ripen for a couple weeks before it functions sufficiently to meet the treatment standards. And a tracer study somewhere in there. Given that, they are unlikely to be operational with the new treatment until late July, even without many delays. Brad Daniels of our enforcement staff will look at drafting an extension to the Bilateral Compliance Agreement. The current BCA installation deadline has passed - March 31, 2019. |
