| Details: | Operator contacted NCPHD to discuss the compliance schedule for the system to add chlorine to the distributed water. Operator is asking for an extension in order to prove the tank cleaning done in Dec/ January of this year was the cause of the total coliform issues. The system is on a compliance schedule of end of May for adding chlorine; that date would not allow for the full 6 Months of coliform results to be known prior to the compliance date. It was discussed with the State Drinking water personnel (Michelle Byrd, Brad Daniels) to allow for the 6 Months of testing to take place before having the system put residual chlorine into the distribution. If any of the 3 months of testing shows total coliforms then the system will be required to disinfect the drinking water. | ||
