| Details: | I was able to reach Raymond Fordyce, owner of Fordyce Farm by phone. He mentioned that he is not tasked with keeping up with the water system, but that his son in law is. Never the less, I took the opportunity to notify Raymond that Fordyce Farm water system has not submitted a total coliform/E. coli test since November 2016. A test that came back positive for total coliform. Since that time the State Drinking Water Services has moved the Farm to monthly testing for total coliform/E. coli as prescribed by the Revised Total Coliform Rules. I mentioned to him that violation points were accumulating that that enforcement may be on the horizon if testing was not restarted in earnest. During the call Raymond mentioned that he would make sure a water sample was collected and tested immediately. He also mentioned that the Farm is seasonal and closes from the end of October and reopens in May, just after Mothers Day each year. I will continue to work with the farm and Drinking Water Services to communicate the requirements of rule and to ensure that the system is properly categorized for its seasonality. If the system moves to seasonal, I will provide the system with startup procedures and an d coliform testing schedule. | ||
