| Details: | The operator of this water system called me and let me know that their routine sample came back positive. He also informed me that he had made the decision to take the sample in a glass jar, since he didn't have the correct sample bottle. At the lab, he transferred the sample collected in the glass jar into the appropriate sample container. The lab then ran this sample as the routine for the 1st quarter. The sample collected in the jar came back positive for total coliform. This is the first positive total coliform result for the system in 25 years. We reviewed the response to the positive including taking 1 triggered source sample, 3 repeat samples from distribution as soon as possible. Additionally, the system is responsible for taking an additional 3 temporary routines in the month of April. |
